What Is Special About Our Club?  Two interlocking strengths.

     Good Fellowship.

We have happy meetings and there are no personality clashes.

There is no pomposity in our club and the President and senior office-holders cop their share of Aussie humour.

     Recognition of Members as Individuals.

Each member is valued for his separate abilities and contribution to club activities.

There is no compulsion to do this or that, as we recognise that some are good at some things and others good at something different.

     Participation is entirely voluntary.

These factors result in long-term membership because we enjoy being in a group of such people who contribute to our club and to Rotary without desire for personal gain or notoriety.

.Rotary regulations for membership forbid any discrimination based on religion, colour, gender or place of origin.  The only requirements for membership are that the person be of good character, be invited to join a club and be accepted by the club members. Membership is by invitation, not application

The name badges of our first sixty club presidents, 1931-91, are on a board for display at club meetings.

A piece of history, not only for our club, but for Maryborough.

These were all well-known business leaders in the city and sponsored another six Rotary clubs.
